Ubbi is a brand under Pearhead Inc, a Brooklyn based company launched in 1999 by Tom Sakaguchi and Ken Berlin. How to Use:
Make sure childproof safety lock is unlocked; turn clockwise if locked. The sliding lid is equipped with magnets to make the Ubbi diaper pail completely airtight. When you open the sliding lid, gently push down on the bubble blower shaped handle to disengage the magnets and allow for an easy opening. Roll the dirty diaper tightly so it easily fits into the opening and remains closed when stored. Slide the lid back to close. When you close the sliding lid, there's no need to push down on the handle since the magnets are already disengaged. To lock pail, rotate safety lock on top of lid (as shown).
Care Instructions:
The Ubbi diaper pail is maintenance free and should not be cleaned. If you need to clean it, simply use a dry cloth. The Ubbi diaper pail is made of steel and is airtight so it cannot be cleaned with liquids of any sort such as vinegar, bleach or harsh abrasives–even water. The Ubbi diaper pail is equipped with rust-proof bolts and is powder-coated to prevent rust from occurring, but liquid could potentially infiltrate in the seams where the paint might not have adhered, which could develop into mold and then rust.
Additionally, the Ubbi diaper pail is completely airtight, so using liquid to clean it might create condensation that will transform into mold and eventually rust. In the event that liquid is used to clean the Ubbi diaper pail, your pail will then automatically fall out of warranty. Do not disassemble any part of your Ubbi diaper pail. The parts are all factory assembled and cannot be manually reassembled. Disassembling your diaper pail will put it out of warranty.
