We utilize trusted ingredients that work, then test each product to ensure that it lives up to its promise. If it doesn’t, we’ll go back to the drawing board. Because you deserve nothing less.
Depending on the product, we’ll conduct toxicity testing, gentleness testing and toxicological risk assessment (TRA). Depending on the intended use of the product, we’ll also conduct more specific testing — such as eye tests for products for use around the eyes, and skin tests for mildness and sensitization.
Because our products are made for humans, we believe in testing on people, but we utilize the latest in-vitro solutions where we can — which means we can mimic the human cellular response in a lab versus on a person. That said, every market regulates testing differently, and as we expand we will assess the mandates of each.
We’re serious when we say we strive to deliver a product that meets your needs and expectations. Our team of clinical specialists and chemists test efficacy through a variety of methods, such as clinical testing (which proves measurable results), consumer testing (which measures how consumers like you experience the product) and instrumentation testing (which can measure moisturization, firmness and things like how well a diaper absorbs and stays dry).
When working with natural ingredients, results can be unpredictable. That’s why we rigorously test our products — at different stages in their lifecycle — to ensure they remain as good as the day they were made. For example, our chemists conduct integrity testing to confirm that conditions like heat and cold won’t impact the look, feel or performance of a product. We also work with third-party labs to confirm that the preservatives we use will continue to protect your products from microbes encountered in everyday use.
We know that your detergent touches everything — the clothing your little ones wear as they adventure through the day and the bedsheets they snuggle against as they (hopefully) sleep through the night. So, we tested to confirm that our formula was both hypoallergenic and gentle on skin.
Above all else, a laundry detergent must work. We tested our formula against other conventional and natural detergents on multiple fabrics using real-life stains — think mud, red wine, formula, spaghetti sauce, coffee and other common offenders — to ensure great performance.
As it pertains to integrity — making sure our formula remains as good as the day it was made — we conducted stability testing using varying temperatures and humidity levels. And, we conducted a risk assessment using a third-party toxicologist, as well as a human health risk assessment using our own in-house toxicologist.
